No rules to good photography

i was reading an amherst book on “master lighting guide for portrait photographers” by Christopher Grey. Saw a  quote that mimic my limited experience on photography.

As quoted from that book: “Aside from the laws of physics, there are no rules to good photography.”

We should never be hindered or confined by what we know or what others “think” they know, but rather we should learn new things given current knowledge, experience and a heart for experimentation/learning. Always have an open heart and lots of bottles of salt…….. you might need lots of pinches of it!
